Irian vient de Rennes et débarrasse de tous ses clichés le Reggae Roots pour le moderniser et l’enrichir en le métissant à la Soul et à la World music.
Ces six talentueux musiciens, liés par l’amitié et l’osmose musicale, ont créé un son atypique et pertinent pour accompagner la voix envoûtante de Sophia Tahi, nous parle des problèmes de la société actuelle et de leurs raisons historiques mais aussi de voyages, de rêves et de métissages.
Le tromboniste Ronan Simon, qui a notamment travaillé avec Magma, Alpha Blondy et plus récemment Percubaba, s’est occupé de la production artistique du deuxième opus d’IRIAN, « ILLUSION OF CHANGE ».
